I am a tenured Associate Professor of counseling psychology in the Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology (EDP) at the University of Kentucky (UK).  I am a Licensed Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (Licensure #173548) and lead the HAMMER Lab.  My pronouns are he/him/his.

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, I went on to complete my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri, and PhD in Counseling Psychology at Iowa State University. Prior to starting my faculty position at the University of Kentucky, I completed an APA-Accredited Predoctoral Psychology Internship at the University of Maryland Counseling Center.

As a counseling psychologist employed at a large, land grant university, I conduct research, teach/train/mentor students, and provide service to the local community, University, profession, and social justice activist organizations.
